As a result of further planned growth, they are now looking to appoint a highly commercial and skilled Managing Director to manage the day to day activities of the business and to push forward with strategies to grow the company further.

With a longstanding management team in place, the founders see this as an opportunity to invigorate an already successful and profitable business with “new life and energy”. The ideal candidate will be a Managing Director or General Manager currently running a SME business possibly in manufacturing, engineering or construction related business. He or She must have an exceptional background of success in growing engineering/construction businesses whilst controlling the day to day activities and liaising with external advisors, auditors and banks to ensure the business continues to be well capitalised for its growth agenda.

Experience in fast moving project-led environments would be highly useful as would experience of businesses who trade both in the UK and export overseas. Again, there is a huge opportunity to expand the businesses offering outside of the UK.
More than anything you will be a strong man manager and leader of both people and businesses – able to make tough decisions which may also include replacing long serving members of staff for the good of the company.
The successful applicant will also be asked to partake in a future MBO. This will be a huge wealth creation opportunity.
