Our exclusive manufacturing related client is a highly acquisitive business growing at double digit pace, annually. The business has now reached a stage where it needs to appoint a Group Finance Director to take control of “all things finance related” and of course to work closely with the CEO to ensure the business is sufficiently financed to continue its growth plans. With a business plan which includes a potential MBO opportunity within 3 years this is an exciting role for an ambitious Finance Director looking for an equity stake. The FD will be technically excellent with a background ideally gained in a complex costing environment where every penny counts and the old cliché “cash is king” is relevant; thus exceptional cash-flow forecasting skills are essential. Experience of acquisitive businesses/corporate finance is an advantage as is strong man management skills coupled with experience of leading negotiations with funders (including banks, private equity and invoice finance). More than anything the FD will be forward thinking and capable of developing and maintaining a clear strategic vision for the successful operation and development of the business. The CEO will also consider candidates keen to do a MBI.
